Ryan Reynolds stars as the green lantern, well stars as a green lantern. A pilot that screws up a hell of a lot is awarded the chance to be a hero. In proper movie fashion he accepts, eventually, and fits the mask perfectly.
So what makes this film different to all the other comic adaptations? Well, Ryan Reynolds for a start. I'm not sure why, but I find him pretty funny. He fits the role perfectly, great casting choice.
This film had humour, action, romance, suspense. Everything to be honest. You can pretty much guarentee a sequel aswell, no surprises there.
Predictive? Well yes, but when you have the comic's to go by it's difficult to alter it too much, as there is the die hard's to appeal too.
Not the best film I've seen, but nowhere near the worse. It was good, and I recommend you watch.
Plus, it's not like the other superhero films where no one knows who he is.
The majority, although it's fairly obvious who it is, ignore the fact that ou can see the majority of the actors face and keep the secret.
This doesn't, and it's quite funny the way it happens.
My Rating: 3 And A Half Stars
