The final film in the Fast & Furious series looked promising, with the whole gang coming back together from the past 3 films.
The gang rejoin in Rio, Brazil for one final job. The film looked promising straight from the off, and it carried on being brilliant throughout the entire movie.
The film continued along the same lines as the trilogy did, which fast paced high octane action, with fast cars and brutal fighting. Vin Diesel v The Rock is one reason on its own to watch this film.
There isn't as much street racing in this film, but that's not a bad thing. I would've been disappointed if it was just about street racing, or working alongside the police to wipe their record once again.
This is different, there is no wiped record, the FBI is on their trail the whole film, as well as the gang in Rio.
Alot of surprises were thrown in throughout the course of the film, some you could see coming, the others you just sat there open mouthed.
When you do see this film, stay rght until the end of the credits for a big surprise. Trust me, it's huge.
Overall, if you liked the previous fast and furious films you'll enjoy this one, but there's nothing to draw you in that's new if you weren't a fan to begin with.
My Rating- 4 Stars

Insidious
I expected good things from this movie, and they were all met. Granted I don't watch many scary movies, but this was best scary movie I've ever seen, and the scariest.
Even though I knew bits were coming because of they trailer, they still made me jump. The whole thing was completely messed up. It was also surprisingly funny at some points, not sure if it is intentional but whe you see some demon thing dancing you can't help but laugh, or when a big fat man with a massive beard comes to inspect, couldn't help but wonder when did Ghostbusters let themselves go?
I thought the film was just about one mental demon guy, who looked alot like darth maul, but I was wrong. This film had a squadron of fucked up people, and by fa the scariest was the ones that smile. No one wants to see a dead thing smile, its not right.
My one criticism was that it was maybe a bit to predictable, just a tad. You knew what was gonna happen later on the film, piecing it together as it went along, but it didn't ruin the movie at all.
This film was scary, but mainly jumpy, a hell of a lot jumpy. If you don't like shit jumping out at you, stay at home and watch Antiques Roadshow, as no one wants you soiling yourself in the cinema.
As I said, even if you knew what was coming, it would still make you jump. I'd probably jump at the same bits again if I go watch it again.
For the whole movie I was sat there like 'WHAAAAT THEEEE FUUUCK', it's messed up, just when you think you'd dealt with in the BAM IN YO' FACE, it threw a hell of alot more at you.
A definite see, I dont care what films you like this is a must see, so buy some pampers and go see.

Rio
Yes Rio is aimed at kids, yes I am a big kid at heart, but this film was actually awesome. All I could think about after was going and buying a pet Macaw or Toucan (I even looked at prices).
I didn't expect it to be this good, or the way it was if I'm honest. The way they randomly burst into song surprised me, but it worked.
I loved the way they added in suttle adult jokes throughout the movie too, bit awkward thought when my brother asked me why I laughed.
Jesse Eisenberg did well with the voice of Blue, but I found that he sounded like every other character he has ever played. He is an actor I don't rate that much, as all his parts are similiar and he doesn't seem adapt them at all. Don't see what I mean, well Zombieland, Social Network and now Rio has all seen him play a nerdy, quiet character.
That's honestly the only criticism I have though, which isn't even aimd at the movie itself.
I must confess I didn't watch the 3D version, mostly because it's more expensive and pointless in the majority of cases. This film however may have work though, as there was alot coming at the screen.
Overall, I suggest you go see this film. Maybe not on your own, that'd be a bit weird. Just you sat in a cinema full of kids, police might have something to say about that. So find a younger sibling, cousin, group of friends whatever, just don't miss out on this film.

Scream 4
I knew the latest installment of the Scream series wasn't meant to be scary, but I expected to jump a little bit.
I jumped once, and it was because of a van, and to me that pretty much sums up the whole movie.
I found the whole thing to predictable, I was sat there saying to my friends when someone opened a door 'stab' and I was correct every time. You just knew what was coming throughout the movie, it was all too predictable, no element of surprise or suspense.
Apart from the ending, when the murderer is revealed. That was something I didnt expect, but it still doesnt make the film worthwhile at all.
Basically, you find yourself laughing for all the wrong reasons, it's the childhood saying of 'We're laughing at you not with you'. You'd laugh at how stupid the whole thing was, but it did have some moments that genuinely did make me crack up for the right reasons. Like towards the end when someone runs face first into a picture frame and then throws themselves through a glass table.
I'm guessing that was meant to be funny, because if that was serious too they need a slap.
The whole experience was a disapointment for me, I came out thinking of how many blades of grass I could have counted in the time frame that I was in the cinema for.
It was that negative outlook that meant I didnt blog soon after, it's been over a week since I went to see the film, and I couldnt be bothered to blog on it because all I wanted to write was EPIC FAIL.
But there you go, a disapointing movie and if you want my advice, dont go. And if you do don't come running to me crying because you wasted your money.
